Crowe Storytelling was honored with a Northwest Emmy at the 63rd Northwest Regional Emmy Awards ceremony on May 30. Founder Michael Crowe won in the Writer – Short Form Content category.
The winning submission featured three stories produced for Seattle Channel's CityStream: a piece on families holding memorial ceremonies aboard Washington State Ferries, a profile of the swimmers who brave Puget Sound's frigid waters, and a look at Seattleites rediscovering the analog art of shooting on film.
Writing is often the invisible craft in video storytelling. This recognition is a reminder that words matter as much as the pictures. When people invite a camera into their most personal moments, honoring that trust starts with the script. Every word is a choice about how to treat people when sharing their stories.
Crowe Storytelling was nominated for two other entries with Seattle Channel in Short Form Content – Human Interest and Long Form Content – Education/Informational.
Michael has contributed to Seattle Channel since 2022. The Emmy adds to a body of work that spans conservation nonprofits, environmental organizations, and media clients across the Pacific Northwest.
